He is a licensed broadcast operator in the U.S. and a certified broadcast engineer. Davit Robakidze is the chairman of IEEBE and the technical director of the company “Innovator.”

Week 1: Fundamentals of Broadcast Engineering (4 Hours)

Session 1: Introduction to Broadcasting & Television Operation Under American Standards (2 Hours)

  • Overview of broadcast systems and their components
  • History and evolution of broadcasting technologies
  • Role and responsibilities of a Television Operator (aligned with SBE CTO standards)
  • Operating television networks under American standards (business and technical processes)
  • Video signal distribution: types, frequencies, and ranges
  • Understanding television regulations and recommendations

Session 2: Video and Audio Monitoring Systems (2 Hours)

  • Audio and video monitoring systems (theory and hands-on studio practice)
  • Synchronization, ingest, and timing principles
  • Signal receiving and transmitting equipment
  • Studio layouts, equipment placement, and archival systems

Week 2: Advanced Broadcasting Systems (4 Hours)

Session 3: Signal Reproduction Systems (2 Hours)

  • Video playback/recording servers and workflows for video/audio files
  • Satellite and microwave transmission systems
  • Signal chains: from source to output

Session 4: IP-Based Systems and the Future of Broadcasting (2 Hours)

  • Transitioning from traditional to IP-based systems
  • Understanding ST 2110: architecture, advantages, and limitations
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting ST 2110 systems
  • IP standards roadmap and practical implementation

 


Week 3: Modern Broadcast Technologies (4 Hours)

Session 5: Multimedia Systems and NDI Integration (2 Hours)

  • Optical cables in IP-based broadcasting systems
  • Introduction to NDI and its features for live broadcasts
  • Hands-on practice with IP systems and multimedia solutions

Session 6: CTO Essentials and Studio Operations (2 Hours)

  • Understanding the core responsibilities of an SBE Certified Television Operator (CTO)
